Our commitments to digital responsibility

Written by Wifirst team | 17 Mar 2025

We are deploying sustainable networks by integrating environmental performance from the design of our products & services to their end of life:

  • Reduced carbon impact with a unified network, fewer devices, deployment savings, operational savings, and energy savings.
  • Repair and refurbish deployed devices to offer an eco-responsible solution.
  • Inform you about your data consumption and its CO2 equivalent, and recommend a mindful use of digital technology.

Wifirst also implements a committed CSR policy, taking into account:

  • Environmental issues:
    • Proposal of low-power WiFi solutions on every new deployment since 2016 to be less energy-intensive.
    • Conducting a Carbon Assessment since 2020 to identify emission sources and define reduction targets, which can be found on our website in the latest sustainability report.
    • Circular management of equipment with refurbishment for re-use or recycling via the wholesaler Edox and Ecologic, and a desire to recover materials.
  • Social issues:
    • Commitment to employees through recruitment, management, training, and internal promotion policies.
    • Promotion of an inclusive culture to allow everyone to reach their potential and combat discrimination.
    • Priority on skills development through support for career paths (regular training, career interviews, evolution opportunities, internal mobility).
    • Emphasis on employee well-being through a healthy work environment and work-life balance.
    • Guarantee of health and safety at work through a structured risk prevention approach, continuous team training, and securing premises.
  • Ethical and compliance issues:
    • Creation of a healthy ecosystem with all stakeholders (institutions, suppliers, subcontractors).
    • Integration of specific clauses in contracts to ensure compliance of suppliers and production sites.
    • Training of technicians in safety instructions specific to client environments and regular audits coordinated by project managers.
    • Implementation of advanced technologies, continuous monitoring processes, regular audits, and awareness-raising among employees and partners about digital security and data protection.
